Biography

  • 3rd DEGREE BLACK BELT AND LOCATION MANAGER

Grant Salazar is 20 years old and was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. His family is very active and always wanted him to participate in sports. He played soccer, baseball, and lacrosse all while doing taekwondo. He started at 3 years old when he saw his brother on the mat and wanted to participate too. From that young age, he advanced in rank and never liked a sport more than Martial Arts.

 

Grant started instructing when he was twelve years old and never wanted to stop. Taekwondo is a sport that he has always been passionate about. There is always a new challenge with new ranks and competitions, he never finishes learning and growing. While a student at Venture, he became close with fellow Black Belts and instructors and was driven to teach too.

 

Whenever he is having an off or bad day, talking to the students always brightens his mood. Teaching students from white belt to black belt lights the best joy in him when he sees them throughout the years and knows he is making an impact. From elementary school on, the life skills he learned in classes carried him through his life. To Grant, taekwondo is not only a great sport but also a lifestyle that prepares people for everything that comes their way.

 

Grant is working to test for his fourth degree Black Belt. He hopes to grow Venture as big and as far as possible to impact many lives along the way. As Location Manager, he works to ensure parents and students are getting the most out of the Venture program. He is a jack of all trades, able to do anything that is asked of him in the school. 

 

Grant Salazar is a third-degree Black Belt and the Location Manager at Venture Martial Arts in Flatirons.
